Delay and do it after Holi is gone.
2. Postpone Exfoliation
Exfoliation should be avoided before Holi as your skin will be more prone to damage.
3. Apply Coconut Oil On the Skin
Apply coconut oil all over your skin.
It will make a protective shield on your skin. And will help you from skin damage.
4. Don’t Forget Sunscreen
Holi is played during the daytime.
So as usual you’ve to apply sunscreen to your exposed areas.
5. Wear Full Sleeve Clothes
It’s preferred to wear full sleeve clothes on the day.
Your skin will thank you for that.
6. Apply Lip Balm
Apply a lip moisturizer to hydrate your lips. For added protection, choose a lip balm with SPF.
You can also a thin layer of petroleum jelly over it for extra protection.
7. Protect Your Lashes And Brows
Apply a bit of coconut oil or olive oil onto your lashes and brows with a spoolie brush.
That will help you to protect them from damage. And the color removal method will be a lot easier post holi.
8. Moisturize Your Ears
Don’t forget to moisturize your outer ears or pinna.
Bonus: Pre Holi Nailcare Tips

Post Holi Skincare Tips
1. Take Your Color Off From Your Skin First
Don’t jump over exfoliation at first. Firstly remove all colors.
Massage coconut or olive oil all over your skin (face and body).
Then gently remove all the colors with a damp cloth. It’ll help you get rid of colors without irritating your skin.
2. Cleanse Your Skin
The next step is cleansing.
Gently cleanse your skin with a gentle cleanser or bathing bar.
3. Use A Gentle Exfoliator After Face Cleansing
Then use a gentle exfoliator to get rid of the remaining grime.
Similarly, clean your face first.
Then use a mild exfoliator. You can make your own exfoliator by simply whipping 1 tbsp coffee and 1/2 tbsp yogurt.
Gently scrub for 3-4 minutes and wash it off.

4. Don’t Forget To Moisturize After Wash
After cleansing and exfoliation are done don’t forget to moisturize.
Moisturize when your skin is damp. That’ll help you to lock moisturization.
5. Milk Wash
You can follow this extra step before moisturizing for toned and hydrated skin.
Dip a cotton pad/ ball in milk.
And gently swipe all over your face. And then wash with water.
As milk is a gentle cleanser this will help you to get rid of residues if any. It will also help you to have your skin hydrated and toned.

Most people forget to clean their ears, the outer ones obviously.
You can use some coconut oil. And gently swipe it with a cotton swab.
Or you can gently wipe the colors with a damp cotton cloth instead of swabs.
7. Exfoliate Your Lips And Hydrate
Exfoliate your lips with a lip scrub.
You can make your own DIY lip scrub at home too!
After all that don’t forget to moisturize your lips.
Bonus: Post Holi Nailcare Tips
1. Clean Your Nails
After completing all these steps during bathing remove your nail polish with nail remover.
If there are colors stuck on or inside nails apply olive oil or coconut oil. Then brush it gently (you may use an unused toothbrush). And wash it off.
Or you can just simply mix some coconut/olive oil in lukewarm water. And dip your nails into it (after removing nail polish obviously).
Then moisturize your nails after pat drying.
